Specialists of CDEK, an international courier company, calculated that over the past year, Russian citizens ordered about 50 thousand goods from abroad. Among them, there was a record holder who issued 2,517 orders during the year, that is, he received 7 parcels every day.

Krasnodar took 2nd place in the rating of shopaholic cities. Only Moscow citizens purchased foreign goods more than residents of the Kuban capital. St. Petersburg, Makhachkala, and Yekaterinburg were included in the top 5

- The pandemic forced everyone to stay at home. Due to closed borders, most Russian citizens were unable to fly on vacation and arrange overseas shopping. However, this did not prevent them from making purchases online, Ovsep Osipyan, the Head of the CDEK Forward project, said.

It should be added that the total weight of online purchases was almost 93 tons. The heaviest item was delivered to Moscow from America. It was an assembled kayak with a paddle weighing 33 kg. The most expensive parcel was also delivered to the capital. It was a computer board with a cost of about 1 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
