CLAAS Krasnodar received permission to construct new facilities
The Krasnodar plant of the CLAAS Company received permission to carry out a large-scale modernization of the enterprise. It provides for the installation of new equipment and the increase in production space for manufacturing combine harvesters. The construction permit was personally handed by the Head of Krasnodar, Yevgeniy Pervyshov, to Michael Ritter, the General Director of CLAAS Krasnodar, the City Administration reported.
According to Mr. Ritter, the area of the metalworking workshop will increase from 11 to 16 thousand square meters. This is necessary to increase production volumes of TUCANO combine harvesters.
In addition to expanding the metalworking shop, the project for the modernization of the production facilities of the CLAAS plant includes as follows: an increase of up to 3 thousand m (by 700 m) of the conveyor system in the paint shop; the installation of another powder coating booth; and the construction of an additional logistics workshop with 1,100 storage spaces.
This stage of reconstruction will require about 680 million rubles of investments for the construction, purchase of additional equipment, and technological modernization.
The total investment in the Krasnodar plant since 2003 amounted to about 160 million euros. 550 jobs were created. The company manufactures TUCANO combine harvesters, as well as AXION and XERION tractors.
