A zero cycle of the construction of a new terminal of Krasnodar International Airport will begin in 2020

After starting the transport hub operation, the airport capacity will increases almost two times - from 14 to 27 thousand passengers per day.

The zero cycle of the construction will begin this year. The main construction work will start in the spring of 2021 and will last until mid-2023. From the autumn of 2023, the terminal is planned to be used in the test mode, and in December of the same year - it is planned to be commissioned.

The reconstruction of the airport is one of the stages of the project on the development of the southern export-import hub, which is being implemented on the initiative of the Governor, Veniamin Kondratyev. This is the largest transport infrastructure project in southern Russia.

The project provides for the construction of a new airport terminal, a landside, cargo and VIP terminals, a pedestrian gallery, and parking lots.

The total investment in the project will be more than 20 billion rubles.

According to the company's report, the new terminal will have an area of 75 thousand square meters, and it will be equipped with ten telescopic passageways. The complex will also include service facilities, repair shops, storage rooms, and garages. In addition, it is planned to build taxiways and a parking ramp that provides parking for 21 aircraft at a time. A new road of regional significance that will connect the territory of the new airport complex with the Temryuk – Krasnodar – Kropotkin highway will be constructed.
