A new rice harvester developed and tested in Krasnodar at CLAAS plant

The development of new modification of TUCANO580 rice harvester was completed and tested at Krasnodar plant of CLAAS company. The outcome of the tests was the registration of a low level of losses and damaged grain as reported at the enterprise.   

It is noted that the works for establishment of the new modified rice harvesting machinery arose from the fact that Krasnodar region is a leading region in Russia in terms of rice production volumes. During the tests conducted by Kuban state zonal machine-testing station the prototype harvester demonstrated a production a rate of up to 20 tons per hour with a low rate of losses and share of damaged grain. 

It is also reported that within the scope of cooperation with the Federal state budgetary scientific institution All-Russian scientific research institution of Rice, "CLAAS" plant digitalized more than 200 hectares of rice areas.
